Privacy policy
What we collect
Almost nothing. Founder Verticals is a static publication. We do not require an account to read it, we do not show personalized advertising, and we do not maintain server-side profiles of our readers. The two narrow categories of data we do see are described below.
- Server access logs. Our hosting provider (Railway, by way of the underlying infrastructure) keeps short-lived access logs for operational reasons — IP address, user-agent, requested URL, response code. These logs exist to let us debug outages and detect abuse. We do not analyze them for marketing.
- Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe via one of the email forms on the site, your address is sent by your mail client to the inbox at
subscribe@founderverticals.com. We use that list only to send the newsletter. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for cross-publication retargeting.
Cookies and storage
We do not set tracking cookies. The site uses localStorage in three places — saved-list bookmarks, the build-your-own-list selections, and the comparison overlay — all stored on your device and not transmitted to us. Clear your browser data and those features reset.
Third-party services
The site loads three third-party assets:
- Google Fonts. We load Inter, Roboto Serif, and JetBrains Mono from the Google Fonts CDN. Google's privacy policy applies to that request.
- Pagefind. Our on-page search is powered by Pagefind, which runs entirely in your browser. No queries are sent to a server.
- Railway hosting. The site is hosted on Railway. Railway's privacy policy applies to the underlying infrastructure.
Analytics
We do not run client-side analytics on this site at this time. If we add a privacy-respecting aggregator in the future, this section will say so and the implementation will not set cookies.
GDPR & CCPA rights
Because we do not maintain reader profiles, most data-subject requests resolve trivially: we do not have a file on you to deliver, correct, or delete. The exceptions are:
- Newsletter unsubscribe. Reply with “unsubscribe” to any newsletter or write to privacy@founderverticals.com.
- Editorial coverage. If you are a subject of a list and you have a specific factual error, that goes to corrections@founderverticals.com rather than privacy — corrections are an editorial channel, not a privacy one.
For any other privacy question, write to privacy@founderverticals.com.
Children
The publication is not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under thirteen.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects what we collect, we will date the change at the top of this page and announce it in the newsletter before the change takes effect.
