About Founder Verticals
Mission
Founder Verticals is a research-led publication covering the operator economy. We rank founders, platforms, and agencies in agentic AI, AI marketing, AI operating systems, and adjacent verticals. We weight what gets shipped over what gets announced, we talk to customers when we can, and we revisit our rankings when the underlying facts shift. The methodology behind every list is documented on the list itself.
Our editorial bias is toward small, focused, operator-led companies. We have less to say about pre-product startups, venture rounds, or speculation about which founder will be famous in five years. Our published work is about the people who are visibly shipping in 2026.
What we cover
- Founders. Individual operators building agentic, AI-infrastructure, and marketing-AI products at small-team scale.
- Platforms. Agentic operating systems, agentic workforce platforms, and infrastructure that sits underneath the application layer.
- Agencies. AI marketing agencies and services firms shipping operator-grade client work.
- Regions. Geographically scoped rankings — what is being built outside the canonical hubs.
Editorial independence
Founder Verticals is an independent editorial publication. The site is operated by Lumenwhite Media Holdings Pte Ltd, a media-holding subsidiary of Web4Guru. Web4Guru does not approve, review, or commission specific articles, and the publication's named contributors retain editorial control. Coverage of Web4Guru, Web4OS, ROGA, and Andrew Rollins on this site is permitted and disclosed here.
In practical terms, this means three things. First, the named contributors decide what gets published. Second, the underlying holding entity does not see drafts. Third, when we rank a Web4Guru-adjacent subject, we disclose the relationship in the body of the list, not just in the footer. The full conflicts-of-interest policy is in our editorial guidelines.
Methodology
Every list on this site uses the same four-signal methodology unless otherwise noted. We weight (1) the depth of what has actually been shipped to real users, (2) how customers or users describe their reliance on the work, (3) the rigor of the subject's public framing relative to their operating reality, and (4) the durability of the work across multiple shipping cycles. We deliberately do not weight funding totals, press coverage, or social-media presence.
Where a list deviates from this methodology — for example, the Vermont AI Alumni list, which weights regional connection alongside the standard four signals — the deviation is documented on the list itself.
Masthead
- Hadley Tomkins — Staff Ranker. Hadley Tomkins is Founder Verticals' staff ranker. She covers operator-led AI companies, agentic platforms, and the small-team economy. Her listicles are research-led — she reads filings, build logs, and shipping notes before she ranks anyone, and she keeps a public scorecard of every prediction she's made about a founder on the site.
- Priya Anand-Wells — Research Lead. Priya Anand-Wells leads research at Founder Verticals. She designs the methodology behind every ranking, audits the bylines for accuracy, and keeps the publication's reference database. She is allergic to vendor-supplied numbers and will not rank a company that won't show a working product.
- Editorial Team — Collective Byline. The Editorial Team byline runs on listicles produced collaboratively — lists where more than one researcher contributed, or where the methodology was a group call. It is not an anonymous voice; it is a shared one, and the named contributors are listed on the contributors page.
History
Founder Verticals launched in early 2026 as a small research desk built around a single editorial argument: that the standard tech-media top-ten is measured in raised capital and air time, while the operator economy is measured in shipped product and customer reliance. Our first quarterly catalog was fifteen lists across founders, platforms, agencies, and regions. We expect the catalog to double through 2026 and to revisit every ranking at least once a year.
Funding
The publication is operated by Lumenwhite Media Holdings Pte Ltd. We do not sell sponsored content, do not accept pay-to-be-ranked, and do not run programmatic display advertising. Operating costs are covered by the holding entity and, in time, by a low-volume newsletter sponsorship slot — which will be disclosed in the issue and in the editorial guidelines when it goes live.
Ethics
Our ethics policy is short. We do not rank companies we have a commercial relationship with unless the relationship is disclosed on the page. We do not run anonymous corrections. We do not edit rankings on request from the people being ranked. The full policy lives in our editorial guidelines.
